Let's do another one:

Factor 2wx + 10w + 7x + 35

2wx + 10w + 7x + 35 ... factor the first two terms and the last two terms ... = 2w ( x + 5 ) + 7 ( x + 5 ) = ( x + 5 ) ( 2w + 7 ) ... done!

Not bad, is it?

Here's one more: 

Factor     x^2 ( y ) - 3x^2 - 8y + 24

( x^2 ) y - 3x^2 - 8y + 24 ... the first two terms give x^2 ( y - 3 ) ... there's one thing to watch out for here ... the back blobs HAVE to match! so, what need to come out of the second set ... x^2 ( y - 3 ) - 8 ( y - 3 ) ... does the sign work? distribute to check. ...= ( y - 3 ) ( x^2 - 8 )

YOUR TURN:

Factor 3x^4 - 18x^3 + 4x - 24

Factor 9yw^2 + 9y - 4xw^2 - 4x
