Dang!  That's even weirder than the last guy!

If y isn't there, then it can be anything!

And x is locked in at 3.

What's your sentence?

x is always 3 and y can be anything!

 

the graph of x = 3 ... it is a vertical line and goes through the points ( 3, 2 ) and ( 3 , 0 ) It's a vertical line! What's the slope? m = (2 - 0 ) / ( 3 - 3 ) = 2 / 0 ... This fractions is undefined, so the slope of a vertical line is undefined. Undefined is the official word.

YOUR TURN:

Graph x = -4 ,

then grab two points and find the slope.
